Kitsap Voices
My job as State Rep will be to lift up voices across Kitsap
and partner with community leaders to deliver for our neighbors
Ashley Mathews
Ashley is the Chair of Bainbridge Island’s Planning Commission, a Lifetime member of the NAACP Bremerton Chapter, a board member emeritus for Treehouse for Kids and a board member for the Bainbridge Island Museum of Art. She’ll soon step up on BI City Council and continue her leadership for more affordable housing, small business support, and mental health for Kitsap kids. She believes in bridge building, especially between those fighting for social justice and those fighting climate change. Ashley’s superpower is figuring out who should be around the table then working to ensure their voice is truly heard.
“Greg has crisscrossed Kitsap attending events, meeting voters, and recruiting campaign volunteers.
He’s already built the biggest, most inclusive tent where everyone is welcome.
It’s why he’ll be an excellent State Rep and why I’m proud to endorse him and to work together.”

Dave Musselman
A proud 1983 Central Kitsap grad and Navy veteran, Dave’s struggles as a teen were the fuel for a life of service. He began his career as a firefighter at Bangor before logging 24 years (and counting) with Poulsbo Fire Department where he revels in the camaraderie of the firehouse and chance to help neighbors everyday. Dave passionately leads the mobile unit known as CARES — he loves being there for youth and seniors dealing with substance abuse, mental illness, and loneliness find the services and treatment to help them thrive.
“Greg has supported our work at Poulsbo Fire CARES since the beginning, even helping design the logo on our mobile units. His focus on First Responder mental health is much appreciated. It’s why I’m proud to support Greg for State Rep.”
-Dave Musselman
“I’m registering to vote so I can support Greg Nance for State Rep because he’s a champion for youth mental health.”
— JR Ritchie, Bainbridge High ‘22 and pitcher, Atlanta Braves organization
JR Ritchie
JR Ritchie used his 97-mph fastball to become one of the most dominant pitchers in state history (logging 75 strikeouts his senior year while allowing only 2 earned runs). After graduating Bainbridge High, he was drafted by the Atlanta Braves where he’s working to make the Major League roster and win a World Series. JR also volunteers as a Little League coach because he loves inspiring the next generation of Kitsap kids to chase their dreams.
David Coatsworth
Retired BIFD Commissioner David Coatsworth spent over 30 years in the fire service responding to medical emergencies, auto accidents, and house fires to keep our community safe. He took pride in looking out for everyone in the firehouse — including excellent training and mental health support — so every firefighter and EMS professional had the tools to do a great job while managing the stress and pressure. In addition to his fire service, David is an avid salmon fisherman and hoops fan (once upon a time he even played for Harvard).
